Seasonal Shift

Lisa Allen red shoes and peonies
The weather was warm enough to go out without a jacket today. With Spring and garden blossoms in mind, I broke out the peony socks and red mary janes.

 my farm life mosaic
1. Ponte de Lima, Portugal, 2. blanket and dolls, 3. the barn, 4. shelter, 5. life on the farm, 6. vines across the window, 7. Barn Door, 8. Tea and Knit, 9. Rainbow eggs squared, 10. Remnants, 11. Quinta do Murraçal, 12. Summit cow, 13. Tea for two   Created with fd’s Flickr Toys.

Inspired by the daily accounts blogged by one of my favorite knit designers, the breathtaking photography of this farm activist, my monthly art swap with some of the gals in the Mary Jane’s Farm community, and the reflections of this creative urbanite turned farmerette,  I assembled this mosaic. With a blend of some of my flickr pals’ favorite images, complemented with a few of my own, all thirteen photos come together and serve as a visual marker for past chapters of my life. Farmers dance with the seasons. Their work life is closely entwined with the weather. And so, in honor of today’s first Spring whispers. . .

I love the red shoes! The socks are wonderful too, I think the combination gives you a defintie “Oilily” vibe!
I would chose the knitting and the tea photos as depicting a charming and cozy world. (but really no need for words..the photos do the job!)
[I came over from Loretta’s blog!]
