There it is, in the right-hand corner of the photo: the project that kidnapped me for two years. Words cannot describe the relief I feel now that I’m on the other side of 59,000 words and the emotional archaeological dig required to write Handmade Heart – On the run and looking for love.
What better way to celebrate the reclamation of my free time than lunch with a friend?
Baby spinach topped with sliced basil, sweet red pepper, and avocado. Wild-caught shrimp on the side.
Energizing Blueberry-Green Smoothie made in my new (swoon) VitaMix: 2 cups spinach, 2-3 large leaves kale, thumb-sized chunk of ginger root, a lemon, a lime, 1 apple, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup water.
Life is starting to feel a bit more in balance. Allelujah! Now all I have to do is talk myself into loving the idea of reading out loud to an auditorium full of people. It’s the final degree requirement. I would rather write another critical essay. But apparently that’s not an option. In the meantime, I’m taking my life back!!!

So any bites on getting this published yet? I’m ready to buy my copy and get it signed by the author before setting off on a whirlwind tour of her life!

Hi Lisa,

Congratulations for successfully driving through your emotional archaeological dig. Enjoy the joy you’ve found on the other side.

I’m so happy for you, Lisa! Such a wonderful accomplishment. Don’t worry about the public speaking so much. Imagine everyone naked. I’m so looking forward to reading it when copies are available!
