Origami Furniture!

fold it yourself furniture

Isn’t this cool? Go here for Inhabitat‘s complete story on Swiss architect Nicola Enrico Stäubli and his line of origami furniture for kids that he calls FoldSchool. *Free* downloadable patterns! I think this might be a fun project for Omar and me (it is Friday and that’s “our day”). Let me know how yours turns out!

OH MY GOOD NESS WHAT HUGE PAPER

    Hi Everyone,

These are a delight, and what potential as a blank canvas. I love the idea!

And, I agree that the little girl’s Fair Isle type pattern (though probably a Euro version) are just too sweet.

My own daughter was always well dressed in my knitting projects and my Mother’s and sister’s endeavors. It helped to foster he admiration for hand-work and now she loves crochet and is a successful potter.

I love origami and have taught it in art classes for kids, but I never thought of large-scale. I will have to take some time out from my blog to try one!

Please come join me at my blog — as everyone needs this information either for prevention or to help another.

Those are such cool origami thingies. I think I need some to decoupage…..but gotta get back to the artgrindstone – and you, too!

The origami furniture is cool — but did you check out the little girl’s socks?! They are WAY cool!
