The internet has been exploding with searches on vision boards. At least, since I posted about them here, my view stats have been reaching new heights! So when I came across this blogger and her inspiration journals, my networking antennae started quivering with excitement. She has graciously given me permission to share her pics — and link — and I am most appreciative.
HedgerowHollow has been keeping inspiration journals for years, but until she made the page shown above, each arrangement was dedicated to a particular theme and images were used exclusively without any text. Filling journal pages with images from magazines and catalogs, she supplements the inspirational collages with paint chip samples and treasured scraps of pretty papers.
I love this idea of building entire books with pages of personally focused collage. In addition to magazine and catalog images, I also include personal photographs. Color photocopies of personal photos are a good alternative if you don’t want to use the originals for this project. So I’m off to my bookshelf to find a blank book. Can’t wait to start cutting and pasting. Thank you, Hedgerow Hollow!
