Every other week an assortment of friends, brought together by a desire to stay on track with our knit or crochet projects, gathers. Sometimes there are just two of us and other times we might have as many as six. Regardless, there are some consistent ingredients to our simpatico group: laughter, stories, a project, and snacks! I chose to begin blocking my Lizard Ridge afghan squares in the company of friends last night. I’ve got seventeen completed so far. (The pattern calls for 30.) The tedious task of pinning and steaming each square was practically unnoticeable as we gabbed and noshed on fresh strawberries, cherries and iced tea garnished with mint from Fran’s garden!

Oh, Lisa, what a lovely blog about us knitters (and crocheters–and soon to be other-crafters)! Thank you so much! I’m going to try to print out this blog (pics included) to take with me to CA and show to my buddies in the Sunnyvale office.
