Thanks to Julia Cameron and her “The Artist’s Way”, I now write daily. Not just when I feel ‘motivated’ to write, but every day. This is the kind of habit that separates the hobbyist from the serious writer. Or so it seems. Now that I’m more invested in my creative pursuits, and this includes writing, I find that there is competition for writing time. Competition between the morning pages ritual and the time to dedicate to my novel writing. Right now the novel is winning out. Stay tuned for updates.

I can relate…when do i work on my novel? When do i sew a blank book? What about my graphic novel? It can get more than a little overwhelming but in the end i am grateful to have all these options, these outlets, these lifelines that have saved me more than once, and will again, i expect.
