I’m hosting a Crafting Bee this Saturday! Inspired by all of the DIY (do-it-yourself) crafting events I read about in this blog, and after spending hours admiring the Wardrobe Remix creativity of GrayGoosie, Lorimarsha and other California gals over on flickr, I decided that if I couldn’t be a part of the West Coast crafting happenings, it was high time to make something happen right here in my own backyard.
So I sent out a slew of emails and the RSVPs are rolling in. All crafts and projects are welcome. New projects. Projects languishing in a basket, just waiting to be finished. Or maybe, a project that is simply more fun in the company of others. Bring ’em on!
There will be a gigondo pot of homemade soup and fresh-baked muffins available for noshing from 12 noon til 5:00 p.m.
What will I be working on? Not the Aran Island mittens – those are for solitary concentration only! No, I’ll be finishing up two Sock Monkey quilt tops for my nephews.
