Shot from the deck of the ferry as we rounded Brant Point and the lighthouse, approaching Nantucket Harbor and eagerly anticipating the island’s thirteenth annual film festival. This is a first in several ways: although I grew up on the island and always travelled by ferry any time I needed to get to the mainland, this is the first photo I have ever taken of the harbor! This is also my first film festival, and certainly my first time attending the Nantucket Film Festival. And, my first-ever freelance assignment for a particular publication which shall remain nameless until the requisite article is written, submitted, accepted and published. However, in the meantime, here’s a typical morning scene on the island’s Main Street:

That is a very cute lighthouse, it is so small.
I would like to use your photo of Nantucket Harbor on a web site I’m creating for my charter boat. I operate out of Martha’s Vineyard but offer day trips to Nantucket. I love this picture you took from the deck of the ferry.
My web designer said I would need to get permission to use your picture so please let me know if this is a possibility…Thank you for your attention….Tim Goodman, Nobska Charters
Looks like a gorgeous place! Good luck on the published article!
the harbor pic looks like a painting!
mmmm: red radishes…
you make me want to stroll Main “in season,” and that is not an urge i’ve had in years, if you get my drift!?
